Through a strategic alliance, the tourist attractions of the Central American country will be enhanced to generate interest in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and Portugal


After the signing of a cooperation agreement, the Tourism Promotion Fund of Panama (PROMTUR) and the Spanish group Globalia, seek to attract Panama in a period of one year, about 20 thousand tourists from Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom , Germany and Portugal.

The Globalia Group, which has more than 45 years of experience, is made up of multiple leading companies in the tourism sector worldwide, including airlines with Air Europa, the hotel chain and Be Live resorts with specialized services in segments such as City Center, Be Smart, Family Resorts, tour operators such as Travelplan, among others.

With this alliance Panama will join a wide network of tourism companies that make up the group, positioning the country in the top of mind of tourists in the European market.

The positioning and market penetration of the Globalia Group, and its extensive network of tourism services companies, allows us to meet the central objectives of PROMTUR, which are, on the one hand, significantly increase the visibility and visibility of Panama as a destination and by another, reach new groups of potential travelers.

The agreement establishes that the promotion will be carried out through the different digital and physical channels that the Globalia Group has, with the purpose of increasing tourist traffic to the country. This means that Panama will be highlighted as a destination in the Air Europa aircraft fleet, from its on-board magazine Europe, the airline's digital channels, and through promotional videos / spots in the entertainment system, thus associating Panama with The airline.

The actions also contemplate the promotion of Panama physically through Halcón Viajes y Viajes Ecuador, the digital assets of Travelplan, where banners will redirect users to a microsite that will allow to show the best places and the unique experience that Panama offers added to information geographical, cultural, gastronomic of the country. To this is added Panama promotion in the more than 820 offices of travel agencies that are part of the Globalia Group.

With the signing of this type of cooperation and promotion agreements, PROMTUR seeks to continue strengthening Panama's visibility in large markets, to boost tourist attractions and increase tourist traffic to the country.
