Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos will generate 100 million pesos

The secretary of Tourism of the government of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, confirmed this midday the completion of the First Tianguis of Magical Towns, which will take place from Thursday, October 24 to Sunday, October 27 at the facilities of the Pachuca Fair, in the state from Hidalgo.
He said that the importance of this new event will be reflected in the attendance of between 100 thousand and 120 thousand people during those days, a forecast that also provides for an hotel occupation of 85 percent and an economic spill of 100 million pesos.
The head of the Federal Tourism Secretariat reiterated that this new Tianguis of Magical Towns is the evolution of the former National Fair of Magical Towns, of which five editions were made.
He explained that the main difference between the old Fair and the next Tianguis is that now the event for the first time will have a space to make business appointments and sale of tourist packages, for which up to now there are already 70 registered buyers and it is expected that they will reach 100 at the time of starting; In addition there will be an International Pavilion, in which the United Kingdom will participate as a guest country.
It will also have a Main Pavilion that will house 121 stands, one for each Magic Town; while in the central stage of the enclosure there will be 49 cultural representations of 17 states of the country, in addition to that throughout the Tianguis artistic, academic and social activities will be developed.
With a much better infrastructure, the first Tianguis of Magic Towns will be, at the same time as a commercial exchange platform, also a free promotion window for the 121 members of the Magic Towns program, since the stands for each one will not have any cost; as well as an inclusive event and access to the public.
"This meeting will show the folklore, handicrafts, gastronomy and tourist packages of all the Magical Towns of the country, and will be a driving force behind domestic tourism, which will strengthen the tourism value chain," said Secretary Torruco Marques.
For his part, the Secretary of Tourism of the government of the state of Hidalgo, Eduardo Javier Baños Gómez, who attended with the representation of Governor Omar Fayad Meneses, said that the Magic Towns mean progress, development, progress, celebration and joy, in addition to being One of the most famous brands we already have in Mexico. “All and all of you, at the moment someone tells you: we are going to a Magic Town, know perfectly well that they are going to reach a town where people will receive you with a smile and with your heart in your hand ", said.
He said they are very happy to host this First Tianguis of Magical Towns, since Hidalgo is the safest state in the center of the country and one of the safest in the republic.
“The importance of the Magic Peoples program is vital for the whole country, especially for those states that do not have coastlines, but that have a very important load of culture and history, which we want to contribute to the progress and development of Mexico,” He pointed out.
