Amaszonas enters as member airlines at ALTA

The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is pleased to welcome Amaszonas Línea Aérea and Amaszonas Uruguay as new member airlines


Amaszonas was invited to enroll in the ISSA Program of ALTA-IATA, an initiative created to further raise safety standards in Latin America and the Caribbean, providing airlines in the region with access to the necessary workshops to opt for certification ISSA (IATA Standard Safety Assessment).
 
"Amaszonas Línea Aérea and Amaszonas Uruguay, accepting the invitation from ALTA, successfully carried out the preparation workshops and, after completing the process satisfactorily, obtained the ISSA certification. The ISSA certification allows Amaszonas to sign agreements with different airlines that have with these and other IATA certifications, as well as signing agreements with the different ALTA member airlines, "said Luis Alejandro Vera Álvarez Plata, Executive Vice President Amaszonas.
 
"Safety is the number one priority of the airline industry and, from ALTA, we are extremely pleased with the alliance developed with IATA to provide the airlines of the region with access to this important training and certification. Since June 2018 they have registered 14 airlines in this program and we are convinced that we will continue supporting the operators of the region to review their safety protocols and accompany them in constant improvement.With this certification, in addition to advancing in their development in the area of ​​air safety, Amaszonas will have the possibility of seeking agreements with IOSA airlines in the region, supporting the development of the industry.Amaszonas Línea Aérea and Amaszonas Uruguay are extremely successful examples of this program and we are very happy to join them with the group of member airlines of ALTA to continue working from our committees, events and campaigns in the development of connectivity and aviation in the region, "said Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Executive Director and CEO of ALTA.
