Viva Aerobus passenger traffic 25% during October
The ultra-low cost airline in Mexico has exceeded the million customers for the fourth time in the year and with an occupancy factor of 88%
Viva Aerobus, Mexico's ultra-low-cost airline, achieved a 25% increase in the number of passengers corresponding to October compared to the same month of 2018, exceeding, for the fourth time in the year, the million monthly customers and with an occupancy factor of 88%.
“We continue to grow steadily with the support and confidence of the passengers, who are certain that with Viva they travel strategically: saving and in the youngest fleet in all of Mexico. We are headed to overcome our record of 10 million customers a year, because in these first eight months we have already achieved that more than 9.8 million people chose us as their flight option. This also represents a 20% growth over last year, ”said Juan Carlos Zuazua, General Director of Viva Aerobus.
This 2019, Viva Aerobus has exceeded one million monthly passengers in June, July, August and, now, in October. These goals are proof of a successful business model that is committed to a sustained expansion of routes, resulting in 23 newly incorporated routes this year; the fleet increase, characterized by the reception of 6 new aircraft this 2019; constant innovation, reflected in the new modality of auction flights and low prices.
So far in 2019 (January - October), a 20% increase in passenger traffic has been achieved compared to the same period of 2018, adding more than 9.8 million passengers and with an occupancy factor of 89%.
The total capacity of Viva Aerobus, measured in available seats per kilometer, between January and October 2019, increased by 25% compared to the same period of 2018.
