Dominican hotels hosted 4.2 million passengers until October
The average occupancy rate of hotels in the Dominican Republic in these nine months has been 72.1%
Of the 5,929,028 passengers (residents and non-residents) who arrived by air to the Dominican Republic between January - October 2019, the hotels have housed a total of 4,221,076 so 1,707,952 stayed in various options such as family, friends, rental of apartments and / or house through Airbnb and small hotels that are not registered in the corresponding hotel associations.

A fact to highlight in the statistics prepared by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) is that the segment of people aged between 21-35 years, arrived in the country a total of 2,068,813 passengers, remaining as the largest compared to the segments of people over 50 years of age and over with 1,578,218 passengers, the segment of 36-49 years (1,496,602) follows; 13-20 years (472,395) and 0-12 years with 313,000 passengers.
