The president of the chain Roberto Amengual and the Director of Expansion, José Ramos, made a balance of 2019

In 2018, it closed with an important announcement by Amérian Hotels, the hotel chain born in Córdoba once again crossed borders and initiated a 4-star superior hotel project in Coquimbo, Chile.

During 2019, the chain reached 20 operating properties in Argentina and Uruguay with the inauguration of Amérian Rafaela Hotel, the first 4-star international standard hotel in the city of Santa Fe. It has 85 units, spa, gym, SUM, event rooms, offices, terrace, solarium, heated pool, jacuzzi, parking and a Café Martínez.

In addition, the Mérit Parque Leloir project was presented, disembarking in the province of Buenos Aires. With an approximate investment of $ 180,000,000, a 3-star superior hotel will be built, which will be marketed in Condo Hotel format. From the beginning of the proposal, Mérit Parque Leloir was projected with a great ecological commitment, respecting the area where it is located: it has an effluent treatment plant, will contemplate the use of mixed energy with solar panels for lighting in common outdoor sectors and the the vast majority of its circulation floors will be absorbent.

Nationally, Amérian continues with its goal of sustainable management. During 2019 he re-certified the Bronze level of the AHT Green Hotels program for Amérian Buenos Aires Park Hotel. Two more establishments joined this management: Amérian Carlos Paz Apart & Suites and Amérian Catamarca Park Hotel, both obtained the Bronze ecolabel for their efforts to reduce the environmental and social impact on their commercial activities.

On the other hand, Amérian Córdoba Park Hotel obtained the distinction Silver, the second level of the program; while Amérian Portal del Iguazú again won the Gold recognition and recertified the Rainforest Alliance as a Sustainable Hotel.

Looking ahead to next year, Amérian prepares its landing in new destinations and others where it already has a presence, highlighting its participation in employment and in the contribution to regional development. Among those mentioned are Resistencia and Jujuy, which will add more than 150 rooms. In addition to these new links, eleven hotels in the chain had major remodeling during the year to improve the value proposition to guests.

With more than 1800 rooms in Argentina and Uruguay, Amérian employs only 900 people directly in our country, who are constantly trained to serve the more than 400,000 guests that the chain receives during the year.

Finishing a 2019 expansion and growth, Amérian Hoteles continues to consolidate itself as the largest hotel chain in the Southern Cone, providing its guests with maximum satisfaction in each destination.

Amérian Hotels is the first hotel chain in Argentina, which began its activities in the city of Córdoba in 1992 and has since expanded to the whole country. It is a precursor in the modality of condo-hotels, in which anyone can invest in the hotel, obtaining a greater profit from a rental. Amérian is currently made up of 20 operating hotels in eleven provinces of the country and one in Montevideo, Uruguay. In addition, it has 11 hotels in the pipeline.
