Viva Aerobus expands service for high season at the end of the year
Between December and January, the flights Cancun - Newark, New Jersey, Cancun - San José de Costa Rica, Guadalajara - Houston, La Paz - Mazatlan, Monterrey - Huatulco, Monterrey - Ixtapa Zihuatanejo and Monterrey - Los Angeles will operate
Given the increase in the demand for flights during the high season of the end of the year, Viva Aerobus, the ultra low cost airline of Mexico, returns to its offer 7 winter routes that will operate between December 2019 and January 2020: Cancun - Newark, New Jersey, Cancun - San José de Costa Rica, Guadalajara - Houston, La Paz - Mazatlan, Monterrey - Huatulco, Monterrey - Ixtapa Zihuatanejo and Monterrey - Los Angeles.
“We know the needs of our passengers in this holiday season and of such significant holidays. Therefore, we are committed to providing more flight options at affordable prices that connect iconic destinations, ”said Juan Carlos Zuazua, General Director of Viva Aerobus.
Tickets for these seasonal routes are already on sale with the objective that passengers can purchase their tickets well in advance and get the best rates. All flights will be operated with the latest generation Airbus A320 aircraft, being the youngest fleet in Mexico with an average age of 3.8 years.
Guadalajara - Houston will operate from December 12 to January 4 with a daily flight except Wednesdays. For its part, Cancun - San José de Costa Rica will begin on December 13 and will be available until January 24 with 2 flights a week (Tuesday and Friday); while Cancun - Newark will begin on December 14 with a weekly flight until January 5.
From December 14 to January 4, and with 2 flights a week, the Monterrey - Huatulco routes will be offered (Wednesdays and Saturdays); Monterrey - Ixtapa Zihuatanejo (Wednesdays and Saturdays) and La Paz - Mazatlan (Tuesdays and Saturdays). In addition, Monterey - Los Angeles will have service from December 16 to January 3 with 2 flights a week (Monday and Thursday).

In this sense, these seasonal routes are supported by the increasing preference of passengers to / from the destinations they connect. Between January and October 2019, compared to the previous year, Viva registered a 12% increase in the number of customers from / to Cancun; 7% in Guadalajara; 6% in Huatulco; 12% in La Paz; 12% in Mazatlan; and 17% in Monterrey.
