Viña del Mar Festival revitalizes tourism and commerce
Despite the political-social crisis that Chile is going through, the 2020 edition of the event will take place normally with a record of tickets sold
The XLI International Festival of Viña del Mar will take place between February 23 and 28, 2020. The event will feature presentations by Ricky Martin, Ozuna, Pablo Alborán, Mon Laferte, Marron 5, Pimpinela, Ana Gabriel and Luciano Pereyra, among others.
For the first time in its history, Viña will dedicate a full night to the national women's talent, represented by the newly awarded Latin Grammy, Mon Laferte and the successful Francisca Valenzuela. Both will go up to Quinta Vergara on Monday, February 24.
Virginia Reginato, Mayor of Viña del Mar declared: "Our priority today is to continue working for our city. The Festival generates employment and reactivates tourism and commerce. We fulfill the promise: More women artists, more local musicians and the presentation of a band Anglo-Saxon dream. "
The LXI International Song Festival of Viña del Mar will be broadcast to Chile through the signals of Channel 13 and TVN in conjunction with the radio stations of the IARC-ADN and Pudahuel radio conglomerate, while FOX Channel and FOX Life will take it all Latin America.
The show will have an estimated coverage of more than 200 million viewers worldwide.
It is worth noting that the festival is a strong driver of commerce and tourism in the Garden City as it generates a significant increase in hotel occupancy and local economic activity.
