Travel insurance demand increases 47%
According to an analysis conducted by Allianz Global Assistance, the demand for travel insurance increases 47% in winter vacations, becoming the second holiday season where Mexicans most contract this type of insurance
"The demand for travel insurance has grown today not only because of its low cost, but because of the ease of acquiring them on the Internet, becoming a great ally for the holidays," Allianz Global Assistance reported.
Likewise, the study indicates the unforeseen events that occur most during the insured trips during this season, with medical emergencies (69%) being the main one, followed by lost luggage (12%) and trip cancellation (9%).
Similarly, the medical emergencies that are most attended on winter trips are respiratory, gastrointestinal, kidney problems, loss of teeth and fractures.
“National travelers should not forget that most of the eventualities that occur in this season's trips are related to health issues, so Mexicans who travel without insurance run the risk of having large expenses in case of presenting a medical ”, Concluded the company.
