Tourism will help put Argentina on its feet
This was stated by the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, Matías Lammens when visiting Iguazu
As part of his tour of the province of Misiones, the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, Matías Lammens, was today in the city of Puerto Iguazú.
Together with the governor of Misiones, Oscar Herrera Ahuad, he toured the works that are being done at the Iguazu International Airport, inaugurated the Olympic Village of Puerto Piray and visited the main tourist attraction of the destination. He also met with representatives of the city's tourism sector.
Minister Lammens said: “We believe that tourism is one of the tools that will help us put Argentina on its feet. With the good dialogue we have and knowing the situation of Iguazu, we will work to improve the infrastructure and carry out the necessary projects to increase inbound tourism. ”
Meanwhile, the governor said: “The minister's visit shows the commitment to the province and to the city of Puerto Iguazú. Through the efforts that we are carrying out, we seek to finish the works of the airport and continue working so that the flight from Madrid to Iguazu continues. ”
With around 1.6 million tourists received during the year, the Iguazu National Park was one of the most visited in the country. A successful summer season is expected for 2020 that will include renewed adventure tourism proposals.
