Spirit Airlines announces flights to Bucaramanga and Barranquilla
The addition of routes from Fort Lauderdale positions Spirit Airlines as the airline with the most direct flights connecting Colombia with the United States
Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) announced the addition of two new destinations that will open in April * 2020: Bucaramanga (BGA) and Barranquilla (BAQ).
Spirit began its service to Colombia in May 2008, connecting Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with Cartagena (CTG). The expansion of the airline continued throughout the next decade with flights to Bogotá (BOG), Medellín (MDE), Armenia (AXM) and Cali (CLO). Additionally, the airline opened its direct service from Orlando (MCO) to Cartagena, Bogotá and Medellín in 2018. The addition of the Bucaramanga and Barranquilla routes from Fort Lauderdale positions Spirit Airlines as the airline with the most direct flights connecting to Colombia with the United States. The airline will offer 10 direct routes between seven Colombian cities and two major airports in the United States.
