Civitatis Portfolio grew in a year more than in the previous 10
The catalog of activities, tours and services grew exponentially during this last year according to the data of the summary of results 2019
Civitatis is the leading online distribution company of guided tours, excursions and activities in Spanish in the main destinations in the world. Since its creation in 2008, the digital platform has grown exponentially and 2019 has been, once again, a fruitful year for the company.
The catalog of activities, tours and services of Civitatis is one of the aspects in which the success was most evident. Currently, it is made up of 30,000 activities offered by 3,500 suppliers in 1100 destinations in more than 100 countries worldwide, thus growing more in a year than in the previous 10. The destinations chosen by the 3.65 million travelers booked activities through Civitatis in 2019 were Rome, Paris, Madrid, New York and London.
Another aspect in which a noticeable evolution was seen is in the B2B business, that is, those tours that are hired on the platform by travel agencies: from 4,000 agencies in 2018 to more than 11,500 last year with important additions such as the agencies of Globalia, Avoris, Grupo GEA (Argentina and Peru) and Zafiro Tours (Mexico), or important management groups such as Traveltool, Ditgestion or Nego Servicios.
As a result of this successful year, Civitatis experienced a vertiginous growth in terms of employment, reaching more than 160 employees in its parent company in Spain, thus increasing its human capital by 50% and betting on young talent and cultural diversity.

One of our main objectives for next year 2020 is to continue expanding our brand and activities throughout Latin America, especially in Argentina, which is a very important market in the tourism sector.
