Grupo Piñero arrives at FITUR with a new image and a reinforced strategy
The company has evolved its strategic plan based on three axes: innovation and development, digitalization and sustainability
Grupo Piñero, a Spanish tourist group with more than 40 years of history, lands at the next edition of FITUR, which will be held in Madrid from January 22 to 26, with a new corporate image. The company, with the firm intention of continuing to create exciting experiences, and maintaining its 100% family essence, has reinforced its strategy based on three axes: Innovation and Development, Digitalization and Sustainability.
In this line, it will expose the novelties for this year of its different business divisions -Living Resorts, Travels and Services- that all those who visit its stand, located in Hall 3, Stand 3B07, can see first hand.
Outstanding participation in forums and meetings
As a relevant company in the international tourism market, Grupo Piñero will also have a leading role in events held within the framework of the fair. In this sense, Encarna Piñero, CEO of the company, will participate in the 10th Exceltur Tourism Leadership Forum, annual reference meeting in the sector and prelude to the official inauguration of FITUR, in which he will contribute his vision on the challenges and challenges that faces the industry. Specifically, it will intervene in the panel "Enhancing the image and regional competitiveness of tourism in Spain", together with representatives of other important tourism companies and the regional presidents of the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Valencia and Andalusia.
Meanwhile, Antonia del Toro, Director of Corporate Responsibility of Grupo Piñero, will participate in the conference y Tourism and SDG. A sure bet of the Spanish companies for the transformation of the tourism sector ', organized by the Spanish Global Compact Network and in which it will expose the Group's commitment in contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs with a 2030 horizon. More specifically, it will present some of the most relevant projects in this area in the panel “Environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda. Commitment to sustainable tourism”.

Also, and in line with its strategic axis focused on sustainability, Grupo Piñero will launch for the first time at FITUR 2020 an action, under the slogan “We Change the Effect”, to measure the carbon footprint generated by visitors to its stand.
Through a mobile application, the carbon footprint produced by the different means of transport used by visitors will be registered, with the aim of compensating it by planting trees on their Caribbean properties. The recorded data will be known in real time on the screens of the stand, as well as its conversion to number of trees, which will allow the awareness of visitors and the transparency of the commitment.
