Eduardo Schutte joins Amadeus to lead online travel in the Americas
Coming from the Hilton Group, Eduardo Schutte will be the new person responsible for the commercial, product and operation execution of the online travel agency plan in the Americas
The online travel market is rapidly evolving with the digital transformation, which drives significant operational change and opportunities for the constant improvement of the traveler's experience. Around the world, Amadeus offers experiences and solutions so that startups and online travel retailers can expand their businesses and explore the possibilities of the future. To carry out this mission in the Americas, Amadeus Travel Channels adds Eduardo Schutte to his team as the new Senior Vice President, Online Travel of the Americas, who will report to Mieke De Schepper, Executive Vice President, Online Travel.
Schutte succeeds Stephane Durand, who became the Senior Vice President Business Travel for Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa (WEMEA) at the end of last year.
Schutte has almost 30 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry. He previously worked at the Hilton Group, where he served as Senior Vice President, Global Sales Services and Distribution Group, overseeing the company's worldwide third-party distribution channels and associations, as well as a shared sales services organization. Subsequently, he was Senior Vice President of Business Development and Innovation for the Hilton Grand Vacations, where he led the company's spin-off, oversaw his new market entry strategies, evaluated new business opportunities and developed innovative marketing approaches and models operational
He has also held senior executive positions in other travel companies, including LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, TravelClick and Grupo Posadas. Schutte will be based in Miami, Florida.
