El Embajador, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, one of the most emblematic establishments of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), celebrates a new anniversary by delivering the “The Ambassador for the World” Awards, awards that were created in 2018 in collaboration with the prestigious Fundación María Batlle to recognize the values ​​of leadership and innovation of companies and associations that contribute to change society and make a more accessible and inclusive world.

On this occasion, the prize corresponding to the national category has been awarded to the Dominican Rehabilitation Association, created more than 40 years ago by Mary Pérez de Marranzini, its current president, to provide comprehensive care to all people in the country who suffer physical disabilities and mental For its part for international recognition, the company “OrCam MyEye” has been chosen, creators of glasses that scan everything they observe and transmit it by voice to the blind, so that they can move independently, and that the Last year they were chosen as one of the “100 best inventions of 2019”. In this case, the recognition will be collected by its founder and its president, Professor Amnon Shashua and Ziv Aviram, respectively.

The delivery of two prizes will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, during a lunch held in the Grand Ambassador Hall of the hotel. The event, which as every year will also serve to celebrate the 64 years of legend of the iconic establishment, which was the first luxury hotel opened in Santo Domingo, will be attended by numerous personalities of the capital, as well as responsible for the Ministry of Tourism and of the Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic that, like last year, and given the importance that the awards, have wanted to join the initiative again recognizing the contribution of the winners to the promotion of the country with the grant of two accrediting diplomas.
