HG designates Commercial and Revenue Management VP for Latin America and the Caribbean
The hotel chain announced the appointment of David Ríos, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry in sales, marketing, revenue management and operations
IHG® (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world's leading hotel companies, announces the appointment of David Ríos as Vice President of Commerce and Revenue Management for the IHG region of Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.

"
With more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry in sales, marketing, revenue management and operations, David will be part of the Commercial and Revenue Management team for IHG in the Americas and will be based in Mexico City. He will be responsible for providing adequate strategic direction, supervision and leadership to generate revenue initiatives, creating a solid commercial performance in the different territories.
With 9 years at IHG, he started as Sales Director for Mexico and Latin America and recently was in charge of the IHG Global Sales Specialized Markets team in the United States, where he directed the transformation of sales to new ways of doing business and generating Incremental revenue from managed key accounts. Before joining IHG, he worked for different hotel companies operating with brands such as Marriott and Hilton.
Ríos has a Bachelor of Tourism Business Administration from IRH, Mexico; a Master in Sales and Marketing from IDESAA, Mexico and a specialization in E-Marketing from UDEM, Mexico. He received a Global Strategy certification by eCornell. In 2018, the GBTA rewarded him for his outstanding contribution to this organization in Latin America with the recognition of “President of the Council of the Chapter of Business Travel”.
