The "Activa Turismo en Línea" program celebrates five weeks providing support and tools to entrepreneurs and companies in the tourism sector

Activa Turismo en Línea concluded its fifth week of virtual talks with a positive balance in terms of audience. The instance that was created by the Undersecretariat of Tourism and Sernatur to provide support to entrepreneurs and companies in the sector already exceeds seven thousand participants.

The cycle of interactive talks included the presentation of Cristián Sasso, Head of Digital Channels at the National Tourism Service and an expert in E-commerce and Digital Marketing, who presented tools to facilitate the design of a digital strategy in social networks, emphasizing the different customer segments. Gabriella Stowell, Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), for her part, presented the global trends that will cause adjustments in the offer according to the behavior of the adventure traveler. Gabriela emphasized the need to work collaboratively around destinations in order to generate links and support networks.

At the end of the week, David Mora, consultant and founder of Emoturismo and coordinator of the Master of Gastronomic Tourism at the Basque Culinary Center, presented ideas to promote food and wine tourism in the context of this global crisis, focusing on how to adapt vineyards and restaurants to tourist visits after the Coronavirus.

Activa Tourism Online continues this Tuesday May 5 with the talk of Marcela Bacigalupo, former Minister of Tourism of Paraguay (2013-2018), who will refer to the benefits of sustainable tourism and the efforts of the UNWTO in the 2030 Agenda. also the international campaign # ViajaMañana, will refer to the global impact estimated by COVID-19 in tourism and provide advice to deal with it.

On Wednesday, May 6, meanwhile, the entrepreneur and journalist Leo Meyer will share the talk with tourism entrepreneurs in the country to discover together how the entrepreneurial spirit stays alive in times of crisis and how entrepreneurs are addressing the complexities of the market to get your business ahead.

Finally, on Thursday, May 7, the digitization expert, Felipe Valdés, will deliver concrete tools that people and companies can use right now to take their first steps in the digital world, as well as those who want to improve their presence and performance.
