Colombia has the best tourism website in the world
The official tourism page of the country that leads ProColombia won the Webby People’s Voice Award thanks to a massive vote by people from more than 70 countries
Thanks to the results of this massive vote worldwide, Colombia.travel won the Webby People's Voice Award as the best tourism website in the world in the Travel category, awarded by the Webby Awards, awards founded in 1996 by the Academy International Digital Arts and Sciences International held annually to recognize the best projects on the internet.
The portal that promotes the country as a tourist destination, and that leads ProColombia, outnumbered the pages Conde Nast Traveler (one of the most important travel media worldwide), Tall True and Tangled (portal of the Canadian province Newfoundland and Labrador), Earth Viaggi (Italian tour operator) and The Culture Trip (London travel agency).
The Webby People’s Voice Award recognitions managed to break records for its 2020 version, as 2.5 million votes were registered in the 70 countries that participated, according to its organizers.
“Thousands of people voted and chose our tourism portal as the best in the world. Obtaining this recognition from people around the world confirms that our country continues to be an international tourism destination. We continue working to innovate and thus maintain high standards of excellence in our communication tools such as Colombia.travel, an original and creative portal that provides information on everything that international travelers need to know. We will meet soon to live all the tourist experiences that our country offers ”, explained Flavia Santoro, president of ProColombia.
The portal divides the information into three axes: vacation tourism, meeting tourism and business portal.
Recently the page has been redesigned and its construction makes it easier for the user to navigate, it also has the latest technologies such as webapp and AMP that allow you to save topics as favorites, activate notifications and tools based on the needs and preferences of the traveler.
