The destination complies with all global protocols to promote the safe reactivation of tourist activity

The Riviera Nayarit receives the Travel Safety Stamp granted by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) for being a destination that complies with all hygiene protocols in establishments, to protect the health of visitors.
The new badge will give travelers confidence in the high standards of cleaning and sanitation in companies in the tourism sector, such as hotels, restaurants, shops and other establishments linked to tourism.
Gloria Guevara Manzo, President and CEO of the WTTC, highlighted that “the Riviera Nayarit has earned a special place as an incredible destination in the Mexican Pacific, which offers unique travel experiences, for its beautiful beaches, its climate and gastronomy in addition to its commitment to safe and sustainable tourism, which has been deservedly recognized on multiple occasions by global industry organizations ”.
"The Riviera Nayarit has complied with the WTTC protocols, and we are sure that the destination is ready to return to the so-called new normality of travel and tourism," he said.
Guevara Manzo highlighted that the Global Security Seal has the backing of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and more than 200 CEOs of the main business groups in the sector around the world, and the objective is to standardize actions at the level global, to regain the trust of visitors.
For his part, Marc Murphy, General Director of the Riviera Nayarit Visitors and Convention Office, stated that “in addition to being considered a hidden treasure surrounded by nature and frequented by knowledgeable travelers, it is the ideal destination to visit at this time, since unlike other densely populated beach destinations, Riviera Nayarit has 17,951 rooms, eight golf courses, four marinas, world-renowned gastronomy with restaurants recognized with 4 and 5 stars by the AAA.

In addition, the destination is classified as one of the five safest sites in Mexico and houses prestigious hotel brands. With the WTTC seal, travelers can be assured that Riviera Nayarit is a superior choice for an ideal escape that offers tranquility in every sense of the word. ”

We are proud to validate our cleaning protocols with the addition of the WTTC Secure Travel Seal to our list of recognitions, demonstrating our commitment to our visitors and to the tourism and environmental ecosystem. "
Riviera Nayarit is one of the youngest destinations in Mexico, established as a luxury and nature brand that evokes a feeling of exotic escape, thanks to its versatility, history, culture and fascinating beaches. The new safe travel protocols announced by the WTTC, will allow to recover the tourist activity affected by the ravages of the Covid-19.
The destination has fully complied with the protocols, which were drawn up following the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and in close collaboration with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Association of Cruise Lines (CLIA) to guarantee alignment throughout the sector.
