José Luis Uriarte assumes as Undersecretary of Tourism of Chile
The official will be in charge of leading the entity that promotes the development and promotion of tourism activity
The Undersecretary of Tourism, under the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism, reports that the lawyer from the University of Los Andes and Master in Public Policy José Luis Uriarte, assumes as the new Undersecretary of Tourism.
Until the moment of his appointment, the authority held the position of chief adviser to the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism, a position he assumed at the end of June 2019 and in which he stood out for his leadership and ability to promote various key projects and initiatives within wallet.
The professional has extensive experience in the public sector, highlighting his work at the Ministry of Public Works as territorial chief between 2018 and 2019, and as national director of the Technical Cooperation Service (Sercotec) between 2010 and 2014. In addition, he served as general secretary of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism.
The undersecretary of Tourism is the entity that promotes the development and promotion of tourist activity, through mechanisms intended for the creation, conservation and use of tourist resources and attractions.
