Intense promotion of the Mexican Caribbean to reactivate tourism

After the launch of the Mexican Caribbean campaign: The Best of Two Worlds that seeks to reactivate the tourist destinations of Quintana Roo and thanks to the Certification in Protection and Sanitary Prevention in Tourist Facilities (CPPSIT) developed by the Tourism Secretariat of Quintana Roo SEDETUR, and that to date it has more than 5,990 registered companies, as well as the Safe Travels seal granted by the WTTC, World Tourism Organization, the Mexican Caribbean is considered an example for other destinations that also seek to reopen tourism.
"In Quintana Roo we have overcome challenges such as hurricanes, sargassum, H1N1 influenza and now in this world health situation it has not been the exception, the tourism sector has sought to become certified, state airports have implemented new protocols, transport companies, DMC "Taxis, in short, everyone is contributing to this reactivation taking place gradually, orderly and successfully, and that is what other destinations are seeing, the work and effort of all to reopen the Mexican Caribbean," said Darío Flota Ocampo. , general director of the Rabbit of Tourism Promotion of Quintana Roo.
During this month, Flota Ocampo has participated in virtual conferences and panels for the tourism industry in Brazil, Colombia, and Panama; the International Federation of Associations of Executives of Tourist Companies FIASEET and the Mexican Association of Women Entrepreneurs AMEXME, Cancun Chapter, where it has presented the reactivation of the Mexican Caribbean.
In addition, the CPTQ Promotion team has taught seminars on the tourist destinations of Quintana Roo for Aeroméxico, Grand Velas, Price Travel, Interjet, travel agents in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Volaris, Palladium, American Airlines and Expedia.
Recently the digital campaign for the golf segment was activated, through the video that shows various and majestic scenarios for the practice of this sport that attracts thousands of visitors every year. Of 15 golf courses in the Mexican Caribbean, 13 are already open in Cancun, Riviera Maya, and Cozumel.
And starting today, the digital campaign for the Vacation Club segment begins, with the intention of triggering one of the segments that react quickly after a contingency, with the message: "Mexican Caribbean: My second home" are displayed on it destination attractions and images of hotel infrastructure, in addition to family life.
About the digital campaign Mexican Caribbean: The Best of Two Worlds launched last May 28, it has obtained a total of 438,974 views of the videos published on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, with more than 35 thousand interactions and more than 3 million of people reached in the first two weeks.
In addition, it maintains a presence in spectacular in Mexico City, digital and printed media with national circulation. In the United States, the campaign begins in July.
Regarding the meetings with airlines, the general director of the CPTQ commented: "We have maintained contact each week with Copa Airlines from Panama, who have informed us of the restart of flights in early August. We have also held meetings with American Airlines and Evelop, which flies from Madrid to Cancun who are interested not only in returning to the beginning of July, but in increasing the frequencies once they return to fly to Cancun. ”
For its part, Interjet landed again in Cozumel with a flight from CDMX last Sunday at noon, with a frequency of one week and American Airlines routes continue from Dallas and Charlotte. Meanwhile in Chetumal VOLARIS operates with 3 flights a week with a direct destination to CDMX, Monday, Friday and Sunday and Interjet, to the same destination will start from this week with frequencies Monday, Thursday and Sunday.
As of today, there is a record of at least 30% of hotels open to a maximum capacity of 30% throughout the state.
