The virtual event scheduled for July 23 will focus on the protocols to be implemented and the "new normal"

The WTTC and Carnival Corporation have teamed up to host a virtual event on July 25 at 2:00 p.m. GMT. At the summit open to the public, the latest scientific knowledge and evidence-based best practices related to the prevention, detection, treatment and mitigation of COVID-19 will be disseminated.

During the event, world tourism leaders, WTTC members, government agencies, destination partners, commercial and private companies will share the latest scientific and medical evidence that can be used to inform practical, adaptive and science-based solutions to mitigate and live with COVID-19.

The WTTC / Carnival Corporation World Science Summit on COVID-19 is the latest initiative to continue building a global understanding of COVID's impact on society, including travel and tourism. The Summit will consider the practices of leading scientists and health experts to mitigate the spread of the virus.

The summit will bring together a robust roster of world-renowned medicine, epidemiology, and public health experts to explore and share the latest best practices in COVID-19 science and the best way to address the many practical questions people have about the disease.

Speakers and panelists represent a wide range of scientific, research, clinical, academic, policy and business backgrounds, including, but not limited to, members of Scientists to Stop COVID-19, who have volunteered to participate.
