Catalonia Hotels & Resorts announces the reopening of its hotels in Bávaro
The Spanish hotel chain reopened its hotel on the famous Dominican beach after approval by the country's authorities
The opening of the Bávaro resorts is in addition to the hotels that the chain has already opened in several cities in Spain and Europe. These openings, in these moments of low occupations, respond to the will and the commitment to be able to reincorporate the collaborators to their jobs and to be able to serve their clients.
A chain committed to society
At the start of the pandemic, Catalonia Hotels & Resorts was the first Spanish hotel chain to publicly offer all its hotels to the health authorities. An offer that is the result of a commitment to society, to people and to all customers and collaborators. The institutions' response was immediate and six of their establishments gave support to the health system in Spain free of charge. The chain's executives are happy to know that more than 1,000 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in their hotels. Likewise, they expressed their gratitude for having had the opportunity to care for those who have cared for them the most: more than 3,700 stays offered to health personnel who during these days could not return to their homes.
Catalonia is a family hotel chain founded in Barcelona in the early eighties, in the Dominican Republic it has 4 beach hotels, a city hotel and a beach club in Punta Cana, the Pearl Beach Club. After the closure by Covid-19, it has been reported about its reopening in Catalonia Santo Domingo for July 1 and for the same date the Catalonia Bávaro Beach Golf & Casino Resort hotel. In the case of its adults-only hotel, Catalonia Royal Bavaro will reopen on July 3.
Once the quarantine in Dominican territory has ended, and in line with the approval by the country's authorities for the reopening of the tourism sector, the chain has decided to reopen its doors, also offering attractive offers including free children in its family hotel; This large resort offers fine white sand beaches, crystal clear Caribbean waters, palm trees along the coastal strip and lush vegetation throughout the complex. In front of the beach there are coral reefs that allow the family to enjoy the rich life of the Caribbean sea.
The hotel complex is located in Cabeza de Toro beach (Punta Cana), one of the best beach areas in the Dominican Republic. Today, like their sister hotel in Santo Domingo, they implement protocol measures and new sanitary standards provided from their headquarters in Spain. It is highlighted once again that the health and well-being of its guests and collaborators is its highest priority.
Within the protocols established by the headquarters, a limited and restricted contact between people has been agreed, always complying with the requirements of social distancing. Likewise, reinforced cleaning services, hygiene and quality certifications by internationally endorsed companies, processes and frequency carefully modified to guarantee deep and safe hygiene in all its areas.
Like Catalonia Santo Domingo, the other Catalonia hotels in the Dominican Republic will perform temperature control on each employee and each guest. As has been established in recent days, constant communication will be made to reinforce hand washing, use of masks and disinfecting gels in all its service areas.
