The businessman and ex-Mayor of Santo Domingo Miguel David Collado Morales has been appointed by President-elect Luis Abinader
The president-elect of the Dominican Republic has begun to announce on Twitter each of the authorities that the different ministries will occupy. The President has just appointed Lic. David Collado as the new Minister of Tourism.
In addition, Lic. Jackeline Mora has been appointed Technical Vice Minister of Tourism; Lic. Patricia Mejía, Vice Minister of Destination Management and Lic. Yaneris Then Medina, Administrative Vice Minister.
Another significant development in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic is that Vice President Raquel Peña has been confirmed as Coordinator of the Health Cabinet, therefore, starting on August 16, the official will follow up on the highest level of decisions regarding health issues that could have an impact on the tourism market.
