MICE: Argentina intensifies its work to continue as a regional leader

At the initiative of INPROTUR and ICCA, members of the international entity in the country met at the ICCA Latino Virtual Lab Workshop: Your Next Normal

With the presence of the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), Ricardo Sosa, and the President of the Argentine Association of Organizers and Suppliers of Exhibitions, Congresses, Events and Convention Bureau (AOCA), Fernando Gorbarán, members of The country's International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) met last Wednesday, July 22, virtually at the ICCA Latino Virtual Lab Workshop: Your Next Normal.

The idea of ​​the workshop was a proposal by INPROTUR in conjunction with ICCA with the objective of strengthening the link between the private sector and the public and thus generate new developments that allow Argentina to maintain leadership in Latin America in Meeting Tourism.

“2020 will be remembered for everything the pandemic has generated in the world. However, for the Meeting Tourism of Argentina it will be historic because it is the year in which, for the first time, we achieve leadership in the region in the ranking that ICCA carries out annually. Therefore, this result is the best incentive for all areas to continue striving with the mission of providing the best service. INPROTUR have our full support, ”said Sosa.

The meeting consisted of a working group format, where each one raised possible tools to be developed in the current times that present difficulties, but that do not prevent planning future goals. Once the pandemic is over, the entire national tourism sector must be prepared in the best way to guarantee the world's travelers the ideal conditions to visit us.

In this way, with organized and teamwork, such as INPROTUR and AOCA for 12 years, the revival of the segment will be much faster and with even better results.
