Tue August 04, 2020

The software and technology provider will continue to distribute airline content to thousands of travel agents and companies around the world

The agreement also includes an optional program in New Zealand and Australia, which gives agencies access to Air New Zealand's preferred content through the Sabre market. Sabre is central to the global travel ecosystem, playing a key role in facilitating the promotion and sale of airline tickets and other types of travel to travel agents, companies and online travel agencies around the world.
“The world has observed the exemplary handling that New Zealand has taken regarding the coronavirus pandemic, and we are pleased to announce our renewed agreement with Air New Zealand and to continue supporting its digital customer strategy and retail,” he said.
Rakesh Narayanan, Vice President, Asia and Pacific Regional General Manager, Travel Solutions, Airline Sales. “Travelers want the best possible deals and options, while travel agencies want to deliver this rich content to their clients. Meanwhile, airlines need sound distribution strategies to be able to distribute their fares and additional products to a wide audience. Offering robust product capabilities and accurate, faster responses for all additional bookings and sales, Sabre's AdvanceConnect program ensures travel agents and businesses have interactive access to their promotional brand and related product rates. Sabre is deeply committed to integrating the travel ecosystem so that all parties involved can meet their goals, and this latest agreement demonstrates the clear commitment of both organizations to the recovery and future growth of the travel industry. ”
"We are delighted to renew our distribution agreement with Sabre," said Andrew Dale, Regional General Manager for Sales and Alliances at Air New Zealand. “While we hope to increase our domestic and, eventually, international operations, it is vital that our clients have options and flexibility when making their reservation through their preferred channel. The value of our partner travel agencies cannot be underestimated in helping travelers make the best decisions and regain confidence in traveling right now. We are thrilled to be able to connect them to them through the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS)”.
