The issue was discussed again today in a meeting with the participation of the head of Senatur and representatives of several countries


Paraguay is a member of the regional team that seeks the homologation of protocols for sanitary measures in pursuit of the tourist reactivation of Latin America. The aim is to follow up on the proposal made by the Minister of Tourism, Sofía Montiel de Afara, during the XXIV Virtual Meeting of MERCOSUR Ministers of Tourism, on May 26, within the framework of the pro tempore presidency of Paraguay.

The issue was discussed again today in a regional meeting, with the participation of the head of Senatur, and representatives of Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, Colombia and others.

On the occasion, they agreed to follow the guidelines of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), aiming at the reactivation of tourism and the reopening of airports, but based on the harmonization, homologation and subsequent standardization of health protocols for the Americas region. .

Among other topics, they also talked about directing strategies towards a 2050 Tourism agenda, due to the restructuring of work after the pandemic, taking into account the effects on World Public Health.
