All set for the Experience Panama Expo 2020
The event will project Panama and its tourist and commercial attractions to the world from September 25 to 27
With the participation of the Minister of Tourism Iván Eskildsen and his work team, representatives of the International Promotion Fund (PROMTUR), Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIYAP), National Chamber of Tourism (CAMTUR), Panamanian Association of Hotels (APATEL), Network of Tourism Chambers (REDTUR) and 150 entrepreneurs from the country's tourism industry, the first preparation workshop was held for this important event.
In this workshop, participants were taught how to use the digital platform on which the expo fair will operate, so that they can customize their stands in such a way that they are attractive to potential customers, they can schedule appointments and meetings with international buyers interested in the products. and services they offer.
For his part, Eskildsen, head of the ATP, presented on the updated Sustainable Tourism Master Plan 2020 - 2025 (PMTS), so that national exhibitors can align their offer as much as possible to the precepts of the PMTS, with the aim of showing the products and services within the framework of the country's natural and cultural heritage, the city of skyscrapers in the Central American neotropics and the benefits that the destination offers for congresses, conventions and other events.
The Experience Panama Expo will take place from September 25 to 27, in virtual mode; Around 200 local tourism service providers and nearly 600 invited buyers are expected, focused on vocational tourism and wholesalers in the business meetings and events segment from countries such as the United States, Portugal, Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom; as well as Latin America.
The event represents an exhibition platform for tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers, event professionals, congresses, conventions; agents of car rental companies and airlines. It is open to the public, so the invitation is extended to visit the various pavilions and learn about the country's offer with a view to the gradual reopening of tourist activities.
Within the framework of this event, the Summit of Ministers of Tourism of Central America and the Dominican Republic will be held with the main theme "Natural and Cultural Heritage: the key to promoting sustainable tourism and economic development in the region."
