Inguat highlights Guatemalan culture in the framework of the 199th anniversary of independence

Within the framework of the celebration of the 199th anniversary of Independence of Guatemala, the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (INGUAT) carried out a special broadcast of cultural activities that were shared on different digital platforms, in order to give a sample of Guatemalan culture and talent. to be enjoyed from the comfort of home and with the family.
The Director General of INGUAT, Mynor Cordón highlighted "On this anniversary of Independence we exalt the value of textile products, colors, traditions, music, gastronomy, crafts and cultural expressions of Guatemalan talent that we have the luxury of appreciating."
Cordón reiterated that as of September 15 and during the next 365 days, efforts must be made focused on an innovative project that will make Guatemala the favorite destination of national and international travelers in the first instance to celebrate 200 years of Independence. She added that this period should also be a space that invites the population to reflect on the actions and contributions as citizens to build a better homeland for present and future generations.
The activity was broadcast through the institution's social networks and the scene was the Handicraft Market in Zone 13 of Guatemala City, which is prepared to receive visitors, complying with the established preventive and security measures.
