CATA prepares a virtual window to Central America and the Dominican Republic
It is the first series of webinars aimed at travel agents in Europe promoted by the Tourism Promotion Agency of Central America
A Window to Central America and the Dominican Republic is the first series of webinars aimed at travel agents in Europe, promoted by the Central American Tourism Promotion Agency (CATA). The event will take place from September 29 to October 8, 2020 in a 100% virtual stage, with the purpose of promoting the different tourist attractions of the countries of the region and maintaining the communication bridge with the European post-COVID-19 industry .
The event will take place, within the framework of the International Tourism Day, with the collaboration of the Tourism Authorities of Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
In a format of four seminars, the webinars will be delivered through the Visit Centroamérica online platform. The eight countries of the region will present to more than 500 European travel agents in a virtual space, the complementary tourist offer of the countries of the region, as well as the actions taken for the recovery, the biosafety protocols implemented throughout the chain of tourism in the region and the provisions for international commercial flights planned to resume operations during this second half of 2020. In this way, it is intended to train European travel agents so that they can provide their clients with the best information about Central America and the Republic. Dominican.
The call for travel agents is being coordinated by the CATA Promotourist Public Relations Agency, and the technical coordination by the Moreturismo Internacional company. The rest of the people of the tourism industry in the Central American region will be able to view the presentations through Visit Centroamérica's Facebook live.
At the end of the four virtual seminars, the registered travel agents will receive a diploma of "Experts in Central America and the Dominican Republic", awarded by CATA. In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in a raffle to attend the four training sessions.
A window to Central America and the Dominican Republic is part of the actions that CATA is carrying out to strengthen the bridge with customers from the source markets with which it works, promoting the promotion, co-creation, and marketing of the eight countries of the region to innovate tourism in the international market in the new context caused by COVI19.
