Viva Aerobus continues to increase its flight offer
The airline informed during its participation in the Tianguis Turístico Digital the opening of the new route Mexico City - Ciudad Obregón
In the framework of the activities of the 2020 Digital Tourism Tianguis and the responsible reactivation of the sector, Viva Aerobus reported the opening of the new Mexico City - Ciudad Obregón route, thus achieving a total of 15 new routes announced on the way to the new normal. : 9 national and 6 international. Also, the airline today celebrated the start of operations of the routes from Mexico City to La Paz, Veracruz and San Antonio.
Viva Aerobus continues to increase its flight offer in line with the market recovery trends and the needs of passengers. From Monterrey, new routes to San Antonio and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) have already been announced; from Cancun to Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosí; the Mazatlán - Chihuahua flights; and from Mexico City to Acapulco, Chetumal, Tampico, Veracruz, La Paz, DFW, Los Angeles, Houston, San Antonio and, now, Ciudad Obregón.
In this sense, as a result of the activities carried out in the first Digital Tourism Tianguis, Luis Núñez Noriega, General Coordinator of the Commission for the Promotion of Tourism of the State of Sonora, officially presented the route Ciudad Obregón - Mexico City. The flights will begin operations on December 17 with prices starting at $ 369 for a one-way trip, plus payment for the Airport Use Fee (TUA).
"The south of Sonora will benefit from this new Viva Aerobus connection to the country's capital, directly contributing to the development of the region through the gradual, safe and orderly reactivation of the tourism and business sector, respecting all health protocols," he mentioned. In addition, Viva Aerobus celebrated together with Luis Humberto Araiza López, Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability of Baja California Sur (SETUES) the start of operations of its new Mexico City - La Paz route, the first flight of which took place today, Friday 25 of September landing in the South Californian city at 10:58 am. This route offers four flights a week (Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday) at prices that start from $ 269 pesos, plus TUA.
“The start of this new route is one more step in the process of recovery of the tourist and commercial market of the state. We recognize the commitment of Viva Aerobus to strengthen the connectivity of the state and disciplined health protocols. Working together, we give certainty to the visitors that La Paz is a safe and reliable destination, ”said Luis Humberto Araiza López, head of SETUES.
Finally, Viva Aerobus reported that this morning, at 6:48 am, the first flight from CDMX to the port of Veracruz landed and, tonight, the flight from Mexico City to San Antonio, Texas will do so.
