Peru defines health guidelines for COVID-19 for tourist destinations
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism will deploy actions to be applied in the face of the total reopening of the sector
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) published the health guidelines for COVID-19 for tourist destinations.
In this way, the sector continues to prepare for the total resumption of activities related to tourism. The approved document is in addition to the eight sectoral health protocols that were published by the Mincetur to date.
It is important to mention that the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism has been working on a tourist seal, which seeks to certify Peru as a safe area, guaranteeing compliance with the protocols and biosafety measures.
With the issuance of the "Sanitary Guidelines for COVID-19 for tourist destinations" (R.M. N ° 195-2020-MINCETUR) the great regulatory framework is established that will allow organizing and managing the resumption of activities in the various tourist destinations in Peru. This is in accordance with the provisions issued by the Ministry of Health and the protocols approved by the sector.
“With this rule we give the general guidelines to monitor, prevent and control COVID-19, in the process of resuming activities in tourist destinations. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism will deploy actions so that these guidelines are applied by public and private actors. The total resumption of tourism will only be possible with the support of all ”, explained the Mincetur.
