To commemorate the International Day Against Climate Change, the hotel will plant more than 800 species of the region in the surroundings of the complex


October 24 is the International Day Against Climate Change 2020, a date to raise awareness among millions of people around the world about the effects of climate change and what global warming entails.

Grupo Piñero, a Spanish tourism company with more than 40 years of history, joins this celebration by taking stock of the various initiatives aimed at counteracting the devastating effects of this great threat to the planet.

Among the different actions, framed in the Group's environmental policy, the planting of trees stands out and in this case more than 800 native species of Palma Nacax (Coccothrinax readii), Palma Chit (Thrinax radiata), Palma Kuka have been planted in the Complex (Pseudophoenix sargentii), Tousled (Beaucarnea pliabilis) and black Guayacán (Guaiacum officinale)

Bahia Principe Grand Tulum, located in Riviera Maya, which will reopen its doors on November 15 after a comprehensive reform of its facilities.

On the other hand, and given the global situation we are going through given the pandemic and that the classes cannot yet be face-to-face. Collaborators of the Eco-Bahía Foundation and the Directorate of the Eleuterio Llanes Pasos de Chemuyil Telesecundaria, celebrated together the International Day against Climate Change, with an activity in which secondary school students presented their proposals to sensitize the community to change climate.

Part of our objectives as a Foundation is to promote environmental education, prevention, take measures from the place where we live and on this day, together with teachers and students, we celebrate the International Day against climate change with awareness-raising proposals ”commented Katia Cordourier , Director of the Ecological Foundation

With great enthusiasm and interest, the students of Professor Nilvia Lizama Guerrero of the Telesecundaria presented through digital media, a poster with the message they want to give to raise awareness about climate change. The aspects that were handled were global warming, climate change and the actions that can be taken.
