Viva Aerobus, Mexico's ultra-low-cost airline, reports that in October 2020 it registered more than 885 thousand passengers, an increase of 21% compared to last September, as a result of its consistent reactivation of routes and the preference of passengers for a value proposition that combines low prices, reliability and strict hygiene and prevention protocols. Consequently, there was a load factor of 81%, one of the highest figures in the challenging situation.
“Viva Aerobus has been committed from the first day of the pandemic to caring for the health and economy of our passengers, thus gaining their trust and preference within the framework of the recovery of the sector. We continue to innovate to take care of the pocket of our passengers and enrich our service, proof of this is that we have just permanently eliminated the charges for changes in route, date or time ”, mentioned Juan Carlos Zuazua, General Director of Viva Aerobus.
During October, Viva operated 97 routes (86 national and 11 international), offering a capacity of 93.9% vs October 2019, measured in seats per available kilometers (ASKs); This reactivation included the restart of the Mexico City - Oaxaca, Chihuahua - Guadalajara and Hermosillo - Los Cabos flights.
