EXPOTUR Costa Rica 2020 is presented

With the participation of the Minister of Tourism, Gustavo Segura presented today the event that will be held in virtual format to promote the country's destinations

After 35 years in which the event was held in person, this year and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it will be held online from November 16 to 21. 

The Costa Rican Association of Tourism Professionals (ACOPROT), organizer of the event with the support of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), has proposed this year to present an innovative format and provide a tool for entrepreneurs in the sector to market their products to buyers around the world with an eye toward the 2021 season.

EXPOTUR will be a platform to promote new businesses for 2021, attract tourists and reactivate the sector in Costa Rica.

Through a state-of-the-art platform, exhibitors will participate virtually who will be able to interact with national and international visitors.

International national entrepreneurs manage their appointments from the platform as has been done in previous editions.
When the platform is enabled dating, national and international entrepreneurs may schedule appointments according to markets and market niches those who work or want to realize new strategic partnerships.
This mode allows you to secure more than 50 citations in 6 trading days in 144 enabled continuous hours.

Each vendor will be able to secure up to 50 appointments with various buyers of our priority markets.
Once in the schedule, the buyer can view the virtual booth via an interactive system where you can see the # of stand, logos the company, its social networks and relevant information.
Entrepreneurs who already have their specific appointment and can see the seller, a connection is established through the fair platform at their stand so that their meeting is virtual in real time with the wholesaler of interest. The video chat will be used during the 6 days of commercialization.
The sellers and buyers can make the journey in the virtual fair and make an appointment to those entrepreneurs who had not contemplated appointment.
Virtual meetings with international entrepreneurs are in real time, and allow you to national tourism entrepreneur show its product to the client through the "share screen", sending infographics, special rates and relevant contact information.
