Mexico gets ready for a new edition of Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos
This year the event takes place in virtual mode on December 9 and 10
The second edition of the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos, scheduled to take place next November in the city of San Luis Potosí, will take place virtually and not in person, on December 9 and 10 of this year.
The first edition of the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos was attended by all the towns that bear this denomination, their mayors and mayors, businessmen who are members of the Citizen Committees, the heads of the state Tourism Secretariats, artisans and traditional cooks, as well as artistic groups. In total, more than 150 thousand people gathered for three days and in the Business area hundreds of appointments were made between tour operators and travel agents and service providers, registering an economic spill of 147 million pesos in the host city and surroundings, of which a part was generated by the sale of handicrafts and typical foods of each entity in the country.
Given the historical-cultural relevance of the Magical Towns, and focused on achieving an improvement in the quality of life of its inhabitants, the federal Ministry of Tourism is implementing a new strategy to resize and consolidate this program, with new guidelines for its operation, which facilitate its incorporation, operation and access mechanisms to social, economic and infrastructure programs of the Federal Government.
