More than 350 international buyers will participate in Peru Travel Mart 2020
CANATUR and PROMPERÚ estimate a business potential of $ 5 million, and expect to complete around 7000 commercial appointments
From November 23 to 27, a new edition of the Peru Travel Mart (PTM) is held, the most important annual event for the promotion of tourism in the country, with the participation of 353 international tour operators, reported the Commission for the Promotion of Export and Tourism of the Peru (PROMPERÚ).
CANATUR and PROMPERÚ expect to conclude around 7,000 commercial appointments and businesses for $ 5 million, as a result of the interaction of 200 tour operators from 17 regions, made up of hotels (31%), tour operators (60%), restaurants, tourist transport, line airline and cruises (9%), and professionals and investors in the sector from 43 countries, such as the United States, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, China, Australia, among others. Peru Travel Mart 2020 will allow those interested to take part in the international fair and the business conference through a virtual platform, which will host specialized conferences and recorded thematic webinars. The latter will have the presence of their exhibitors on the same day as their respective launches, in order to respond to public concerns. Further, There are 20 thematic stands where various institutions will participate such as the Ministries of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) and Culture, the National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State (SERNANP) and Airports of Peru, in addition to the Tumbes, Piura, Loreto, San Martín, Ica, Lima, Cusco, Arequipa and Puno. To the above, the sustainable experiences of the Green Initiative and Turismo Cuida will be added.
Through a specialized web platform, it will seek to promote the commercialization of tourist products, with the presence of national tour operators, hotels, cruises and rail services. In the round, both the Peruvian receptive companies (seller) and the tour operators and / or international wholesalers (buyer), will have an environment conducive to doing business. On the other hand, the PTM fair will be under a 360 ° platform, where you can enter different 3D virtual spaces and interaction through avatars.
This area includes the booth for the reception of participants, a showroom (virtual stands), an auditorium for specialized seminars and a networking area. Peru Travel Mart 2020 is organized by the National Chamber of Tourism of Peru (CANATUR) and PROMPERÚ, and its purpose is to convene wholesalers from the main tourism source markets worldwide to participate in a meeting with the most important producers of tourism services from the country.
Likewise, the international commercial platform will seek to encourage the commercialization, in a responsible way, of the Peruvian products that stand out the most in the sector.
Participants will also have access to 5 double stands with thematic axes: nature and adventure tourism, meeting tourism, cultural tourism, luxury tourism and gastronomic tourism. Also noteworthy are the specialized seminars, with national and international speakers, aimed at deepening knowledge of innovative tourism products and biosecurity protocols.
