ICT creates alliance in Spain to recognize sustainability
The Costa Rican Tourism Institute granted this Wednesday in Spain nine "Pura Vida-Muy Interesante" awards to professionals, companies and organizations that promote care for the environment
With the collaboration and support of the prestigious magazine Muy Interesante and the communication group Zinet Media, the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism (ICT) granted this Wednesday in Spain -for the first time- nine "Pura Vida-Muy Interesante" awards to professionals, companies and organizations that promote sustainability in this key market for Costa Rican tourism.
In the virtual event of this 1st Edition of these awards, eight categories were recognized (in one of them there were two winners). were chosen. According to the jury's opinion, the winners this year were the best representatives of the “Pura Vida” spirit in relation to sustainability in all its aspects: conservation, research, management, creativity, production, training and dissemination.
At the event, Gustavo J. Segura, Rector Minister of Tourism, stated that the awards reflect Costa Rica's way of feeling and pointed out that the winners stand out in their different activities for their joy, for their humility, for their commitment to sustainability. , for his optimism and for knowing how to embody the spirit of the good life that this expression of ours carries.
“Being a country with a relatively small size, sustainability in Costa Rica is 'expanded': it is not only a public and private initiative; Above all, it is an attitude that is part of the idiosyncrasy of the people of our country ”, explained the Minister.
To organize these new awards, the ICT received the support of its representation and public relations agency in Spain - The Blueroom Project. The objective is to encourage, promote, value and publicly recognize the efforts of those who research and actively work in the protection of the environment.
