Marriott International signs agreement with Grupo Hoteles Panamericano
Through this deal announced today, the leading hotel chain expands in Argentina by opening the Sheraton Bariloche
Marriott International announced today that it has signed an agreement with Hoteles Panamericano to bring the iconic Sheraton Hotels brand to San Carlos de Bariloche, this important tourist center surrounded by imposing Andean mountains. Scheduled to debut in January 2022, the property is expected to feature 161 fully renovated rooms after undergoing an extensive conversion process.
Located in the center and at the top of the city of San Carlos de Bariloche and with exceptional views of the spectacular Nahuel Huapi glacial lake, Sheraton Bariloche, which currently bears the name of Hotel Panamericano Bariloche, is located a few steps from Calle San Martín, the destination's lively entertainment center with a wide selection of bars and restaurants. San Carlos de Bariloche known for its Swiss Alpine-style architecture and its exquisite chocolate, operates as one of the best-known ski centers in the region, both trekking and mountaineering are practices that are carried out by tourists from all over the world. In recent years, the destination has become America's best-kept secret for skiing during its summer season. "

Sheraton Bariloche will be managed by Gotel Hotel Management under a franchise agreement. The Argentine company was created to strategically collaborate with Marriott International to further expand the presence of the Marriott brands in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Marriott International and Gotel recently announced the opening of the Buenos Aires Marriott, a major achievement that brought the Marriott Hotels brand back to the country in an iconic location.

Reinforcing this growth strategy of both companies, Mr. Daniel Ozzan is appointed as Executive Director (COO) of Gotel Hotel Management and General Manager of the Marriott Buenos Aires hotel. Daniel Ozzan held the position of Director of Development and Feasibility for Marriott International for the Caribbean and Latin America region until September 30, and will begin his duties in January 2021.
Currently, Marriott International operates eleven hotels in Argentina under the Sheraton Hotels, The Luxury Collection and Tribute Portfolio brands. Sheraton Bariloche will be the eighth Sheraton hotel in the country.
