Hilton opens new hotel in Santa Ana, Costa Rica
The 143-room property will be operated by Costa Rican firm Rocca Development Group
In the midst of the global crisis caused by Covid-19, the international chain Hilton confirms its confidence in Costa Rica and announces the opening of the new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Santa Ana, San José, one of the fastest growing areas in the world. Metropolitan area.
Built and operated by the Costa Rican firm Rocca Development Group, the new Hilton Garden Inn Santa Ana is located in the City Place Shopping Center and with it 143 innovative and comfortable rooms are introduced to the national tourist market.
With this opening -officialized this Friday, December 18 by the Minister of Tourism, Gustavo Segura- both Rocca Development Group and the Hilton chain are firmly committed to the long-awaited recovery of the Costa Rican tourism sector, as well as the generation of new direct jobs and indirect.
The purpose is to enable at least 70 direct jobs when the operation is at its highest level.
"We are really pleased to be part of the inauguration of this new hotel, a clear and tangible example of how little by little we are taking the first steps towards the economic reactivation of our tourism industry. We thank the developer for this significant investment and the Hilton chain for the bet on Costa Rica to continue expanding and, at the same time, generate employment and hopeful chains ", declared Segura, head and rector of Tourism.
The new lodging center, aimed primarily at the international and local corporate sector, not only has the rooms of meetings with greater capacity in the area, but they are equipped with the most advanced technology to carry out meetings, trainings, seminars, among other activities.
The new establishment is also conditioned to meet the strictest needs for corporate, social or family events.
"As a primary element of the design, the building is 100% accessible because we have fully equipped rooms on all floors and we even installed a special automatic access to the pool for people with disabilities," explained Karla Lucke, Marketing Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Santa Ana.
Likewise, from the conception of the project, the developer firm incorporated elements that offer an important link with the nature of the area with its agrarian past and with the artistic legacy of the canton of Santa Ana. Therefore, the hotel has a high content of indigenous elements.
Additionally, the fact that the development company focuses on the operation of real estate allowed more than 75% of the raw materials and supplies for construction, equipment and decoration to be purchased from Costa Rican firms.
And for the daily operation, it is projected that 75% of the supplies for restaurants and banquets will be acquired from local suppliers, mainly small and medium-sized companies (SMEs).
