Mercure Santa Marta Emile obtains the "Certified Check-in" seal
The hotel adds a new certification to reinforce its commitment to safety and hygiene protocols, to provide confidence to guests and collaborators
Mercure Santa Marta Emile, part of the Accor Group, announced today that it obtained the “Certified Check-In, Covid-19 bioseguro” seal from the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
The 'Check in Certified, Covid-19 bioseguro' seal is a certification created by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, which contributes to the safety of the Mercure Santa Marta Emile and its guests and visitors by implementing best practices and recommendations against the Covid-19.
"This certification helps the hotel to minimize the risk of the spread of the pandemic and builds confidence in travelers, customers and collaborators, while contributing to the economic recovery of Santa Marta and the Department of Magdalena," said Alejandro Spinelli, general manager from the Mercure Santa Marta Emile.
In addition to being 'Check-in Certified', the hotel has the ALLSAFE certification established by Accor globally. This accreditation includes more than 150 biosafety protocols that provide guests with the assurance of a standard certified by Bureau Veritas.
Some of ALLSAFE's health and prevention protocols include a reinforced cleaning program with frequent disinfection of all high-touch areas such as elevators and public restrooms, as well as standards for deep room cleaning with hospital grade products and materials that are applies at high temperatures to upholstery, carpets and bedding.
The new certifications issued by MinComercio and Accor were achieved thanks to the intense work of the Mercure Santa Marta Emile team members in order to offer conditions for the implementation and application of the biosafety protocols issued by the National Government and by other authorities.
