Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Seas will have HAIFA as its new port of departure
Innovative ship to debut with cruises from Israel
Israelis who want to go on vacation this summer will be able to do so with Royal Caribbean International which will begin sailing from Israel for the first time this May. The global cruise company will offer Israelis a combination of 3-7 night itineraries visiting Greece (Athens and the islands) and Cyprus aboard their latest ship, Odyssey of the Seas. The new itineraries will go on sale Tuesday, March 9.
These itineraries will have Haifa (Israel) as a base port and will include stops to idyllic Mediterranean destinations such as Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos and Athens in Greece and Limassol in Cyprus. “We are excited about the debut of Royal Caribbean cruises from Israel with our newest and most revolutionary ship, the Odyssey of the Seas. Royal Caribbean Says “Shalom, Israel” With The Debut Of The Odyssey of the Seas, residents of Israel will be the first to sail aboard the Odyssey during its inaugural season. The innovative ship has been designed to offer an unforgettable vacation to any type of passenger, with a wide variety of new and iconic experiences from bow to stern. With the Mediterranean in the background, its main attractions include a two-level pool deck designed for maximum enjoyment under the sun and the stars, SeaPlex - a complex, also of two levels, where passengers of all ages will enjoy indoor activities and exterior filled with adrenaline and a wide range of complementary and specialty restaurants that will please the most demanding palates with cuisine from around the world. In collaboration with Israel's health and tourism authorities, Royal Caribbean will be the first to offer “fully vaccinated” sailings, where both the crew and passengers over 16 years of age will be vaccinated against COVID-19. Details on additional health and security measures to be implemented by Israel and Royal Caribbean will be announced at a later date.
