Ecuador promotes its destinations in LATA event
For the second consecutive year, the Andean country participated in the second business round Destination Update Webinar, organized by the Latin American Travel Association
The virtual event that took place yesterday included the intervention of the Minister of Tourism of Ecuador, Rosi Prado de Holguín and her counterpart from Nicaragua, Anasha Campbell. In addition, Colin Stewart, president of LATA and Danny Callaghan, CEO of the Association participated.
LATA is a membership association that promotes Latin America as a tourist destination and stimulates the growth of travel to the region, through the promotion and incentive of travel, and the promotion of best practices to increase standards in all aspects travel.
The objective of the Ecuadorian participation was to promote the tourist offer of the Country of the Four Worlds, share the work carried out in the field of biosafety to contain the effects caused by the pandemic and present future initiatives.
More than 80 LATA members were able to learn about the tourism reactivation plan promoted by Ecuador. During her speech, the Ecuadorian Minister of Tourism made a summary of the main actions developed among the entire sector, among which she highlighted the lifting of 22 biosafety protocols for the travel industry, the training of the different actors that make up the chain of tourist value and obtaining the Safe Travels seal.
The requirements that the country demands for the entry and exit of travelers were also explained; It was also indicated that currently, the country has three airlines to connect with Europe: KLM, Iberia and Air Europa, each with four weekly frequencies.
“In Ecuador we strive to create and provide confidence to all visitors from the moment of arrival and during their stay. We are fully committed to offering the best of this incredibly diverse and safe country for travelers, ”said the highest authority. In this way, the invitation to the world to feel good in Ecuador was extended, the slogan of the current tourism promotion campaign that the country is promoting for the international market.
This action is added to the promotion and marketing strategy that this State portfolio is promoting in favor of a prompt but responsible tourist reactivation.
