Crystal Serenity Becomes the First Homeport Ship in The Bahamas
Crystal Cruises announced plans to restart sailing as of July 3 with a series of 16 seven-night round-trip cruises from Nassau on its award-winning flagship
In a joint virtual press conference with the Honorable Dionisio D'Aguilar, Minister of Tourism and Aviation of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Crystal Cruises announced their plans to restart navigation with a new Bahamas Escapes beginning July 3, 2021 with a series of 16 round-trip seven-night cruises from Nassau on its award-winning flagship, Crystal Serenity.
In addition to its Nassau itineraries, Crystal will also offer 16 seven-night roundtrips from Bimini beginning July 4, 2021. With its new Bahamas Escapes cruises, Crystal Serenity becomes the first homeport-bound ship in the Bahamas, as well as the first ocean-going ship to sail from the Americas since the voluntary disruption of the cruise industry operations nearly a year ago.
At today's press conference to announce the new Bahamas Escapes cruises were Jack Anderson, Crystal Interim President and CEO, Minister D'Aguilar and Director General Joy Jibrilu of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism.
