Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resorts and Tulum Country Club through the Eco-Bahia Foundation joined Earth Hour with various activities for the recovery of nature

Every year since 2007, the last Saturday in March is celebrated "Earth Hour", the largest environmental movement in the world.

Within the framework of this day, the Eco-Bahía Foundation through its Environmental Education program carried out a series of guided tours, along the beach, mangrove area, collection center and interpretation center of Nature in the facilities of Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort, in order to bring children closer to nature, learning good environmental practices and the importance of different ecosystems.

The tours were carried out during the month of March, receiving small groups and respecting all safety and hygiene measures according to the protocols of students and teachers of the School "Onda Encantada" of the Municipality of Tulum, where the children learned all the actions that they can do in their day to day for the benefit of the conservation of the environment.

Closing with the tour that took place on the morning of March 27, with a group of owners and residents of Tulum Country Club, in which the youngest of the families were tasked with identifying all the activities they can do. to benefit the environment such as not littering, recycling and taking care of all the nature that surrounds us, ending with breakfast at the new Kay Beach Club.

"Earth Hour marks a great opportunity to raise awareness in our society and sow in children the importance of caring for the environment, which is why through these tours and continuing with our Environmental Education program we reinforce all the actions to recover and take care of nature ”commented Katia Cordourier, director of the Ecological Foundation

At 8:30 p.m. as in more than 180 countries and millions of people around the world Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resorts and the Residencial Tulum Country Club joined by turning off their lights for an hour to remind us about the importance of acting together with climate change and caring for the environment.
