Tourism in Colombia and the world has suffered great effects caused by total or partial closures, and restrictions on mobility within and outside the country, due to the current epidemiological situation.
However, the actions generated from the public and private sectors around the adaptation of biosafety protocols have begun to generate confidence in travelers.
According to the website todoslosdestinos.com, ANATO platform, where the Associated Travel Agencies publicize their national and international tourist offer, there was an increase of 61% in February, in the number of contacts of users with these companies, when compared to the previous month.
The foregoing is in line with the results of the Traveler Survey, which ANATO recently conducted on tourists in the country, in which 62% of those who participated in the study assured that they wish to travel between April and July 2021.
“Since At the time of the reactivation of tourism in the country, we have joined efforts with the National Government, Travel Agencies, airlines, airports, hotels, restaurants, among others, to provide travelers with biosecurity scenarios that allow them to carry out tourist activities in a safe way. We know that confidence will gradually recover and we see that currently the interest in traveling is recovering more and more, ”said Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of ANATO.
