Spirit Airlines begins operating nonstop flights to Puerto Vallarta from July

The low-cost airline expands its international growth with services to the Mexican destination from Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Los Angeles

Spirit Airlines has announced plans to continue its international expansion by adding Puerto Vallarta Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Licensed International Airport (PVR) to its route map beginning July 1,. Pictures, interviews and B-roll can be found here: http://bit.ly/SpiritPVR.

The airline will offer daily flights between Puerto Vallarta and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), along with service three times a week from Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. 

"Offering our Guests convenient flights to beautiful destinations and spectacular beaches is what Spirit Airlines is all about, making Puerto Vallarta the perfect new market to connect with the major cities in our network," said John Kirby, Vice President of Planning of Spirit Airlines Networks. "We are delighted to add the great culture and warmth of the Pacific coast of Mexico to our variety of destinations in Mexico, including Cancun and Los Cabos."

Spirit will also add nonstop service between LAX and Los Cabos, Mexico (SJD) beginning May 5. The route will be Spirit's first international service from Los Angeles, joined by Puerto Vallarta when it launches the following month.
