Bermuda Tourism Authority appoints Charles H. Jeffers II as Executive Director
Seasoned Official Accepts Key Role After Decades Leading International DMOs
The Bermuda Tourism Authority today announced the appointment of Bermudian Charles H. Jeffers II to the position of Executive Director. Jeffers, a twenty-six-year veteran of the destination marketing industry, was hired through a global search to fill the leadership position that was vacated following the departure of Kevin Dallas in February 2020.
Charles Jeffers joins the Bermuda Tourism Authority and ends his tenure as Director of Operations at Visit Baltimore, the official destination management organization (DMO) of Baltimore, Maryland. He was responsible for day-to-day operations, including HR, finance, IT, research, membership, and the Visitor Center at the tourism body, which in 2019 welcomed 27 million visitors, generating $ 6 billion in economic impact.

Prior to his role at Visit Baltimore, Jeffers served as Director of Operations for Destinations International, a global trade association for destination organizations like BTA, which supports members from 600 destinations in 13 countries. He also held progressive positions within the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Jeffers holds a BA from American International College, an MA from Georgia State University and has earned the CDME (Certified Destination Management Executive) designation.
