Controls were strengthened to ensure control of sanitary measures
More than 1.9 million Argentines mobilized through the country during this long Easter weekend, according to official data from the Tourism certificate. The most popular destinations were Mar del Plata, the Partido de la Costa, Villa Carlos Paz, Bariloche, Villa Gesell, Córdoba, Pinamar, Salta, Merlo, San Rafael and Colón.
In turn, more than 70% of the tourist flow was distributed among the provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Mendoza and Río Negro.
In an articulated work between the National State, the provincial and municipal States, controls were reinforced throughout the territory to ensure compliance with the protocols and care measures against COVID-19.
It should be noted that, during the days leading up to the long Easter weekend, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports carried out an intense agenda in this regard. In conjunction with the Ministry of Health, a virtual meeting was held with provincial officials and mayors of tourist towns to strengthen compliance with protocols. Together with the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), virtual training was carried out for tourism providers, with the aim of reinforcing compliance with the care measures. In addition, meetings were held with advisers from the expert committee and with authorities from the tourism and hotel industry chambers and federations throughout the country, among others.
