For a long time, technology became not only an indispensable aid in work environments, but the most important tool. The era of digital innovation is changing the ways of working and this has repercussions on companies and their internal organizational policies. Sectors such as Human Resources, which used to work on the basis of papers and documents, have the possibility of fully digitizing their tasks to function more efficiently and effectively, and act as a strategic area for the company's business.

Due to the pandemic, the HR areas accelerated this digitization process, with digital tools that allow staff self-management, automation of operational tasks and facilitate access to information from anywhere, which not long ago was more relevant. impossible to think.

Added to this, the new trends in HR are increasingly pushing companies to use technology to obtain reliable information on traceability and obtain data that allows them to analyze the employee's experiences at each moment of their working life. These indicators are key to improve company policies, provide containment, motivation and focus on the development of talent within the company.

But, how to correctly choose an HR technology that meets these needs? While there is no single answer, there are certain indicators that serve as a guide.

1)  Simple and practical onboarding
Having a single intuitive platform that manages to solve in a fast and friendly way the information entry of all company personnel and that can integrate the largest number of tasks associated with people management from a single place .
For this, a guided and accompanied implementation is key, and if necessary, have support for the migration of information and parameterization of a new platform, understanding that it is a complex process for medium and large companies.
Additionally, the ability to integrate with other technological tools for internal use of the organization and with the Documented Restful API that gives the possibility of integration with systems and platforms autonomously without depending on a third party should be assessed.
Finally, it is very necessary to have the ability to build different custom access permissions, according to the needs and reality of each organization, to provide information only to those users who require it.

2)  Focus on flexibility and use of the service
It is necessary to have a system that allows the necessary information to be known quickly, accurately and reliably to facilitate decision-making. At the same time, that allows automating all possible tasks, from multiple devices, focusing on greater management efficiency and time optimization, to obtain a positive return on investment from the contracted software.
Finally, that employees can have some independence and self-management in relation to their information and needs, giving them the opportunity to have memorable and pleasant experiences with use.

3)  Support, training and communication channels at the customer's fingertips
The supplier company must have quality customer service: instant, friendly and easily accessible to answer questions. Omnichannel support and forums greatly facilitate interaction with users.
And do not forget about continuous communication through training courses, webinars, workshops, workshops, and delivery of content that allows users to know the new and / or different uses that can be given to this digital tool.

4)  Safe and reliable tool
Information on company payroll is sensitive information that must be protected with the highest security standards. That is why you must comply with the country's personal data protection laws and generate automatic data backups in the event of an unexpected event.
On the other hand, it is preferable that access is secured with user authentication, single sign-on (SSO) from any device and encryption of data hosted on servers protected from any external threat.
